I grew up on Mercer Island and have been an athlete all my life, playing team sports, training for individual events, climbing mountains, and shredding the slopes. After more than a decade behind a desk, I've decided to help other people discover their physical potential and live healthier lives. I can help you with general fitness or help you train for an event. I also love working with seniors over 55, pregnant women and new moms. I've had two children, the second after becoming a personal trainer. The last couple months of my second pregnancy were far less uncomfortable, due significantly to the workout program I did through the second half of my pregnancy. I also recovered from labor and delivery, and the pregnancy in general, far more quickly after my first child. I am very excited to work with pregnant women to help you be healthy and stay in shape while pregnant, and new mothers to help you get back in shape after the baby is born. My approach to personal training is hands-on, functional, and fun! I enjoy listening to clients' goals and putting together a program to help them achieve those goals. I recognize that if working out is a chore and painful, it will lose its priority in the hectic lives of my busy clients. Thus, I strive to make every workout both fun and challenging. I stay in shape with resistance training and cardio workouts so I can enjoy all the other active pursuits in my life: running, biking, hiking, skiing, Crossfit, and exploring the world with my husband, two little girls.
